The presidential race is over and our president has been re-elected by the Electoral College, and most importantly by the American citizens who understand that we are in this together and want to move this country forward.
The election seemed to have been in the balance, but the objective was accomplished, our voices were heard. The hardest part is yet to come, which is to get those in the senate and House of Representatives to understand the message that was sent to them by the citizens of this country by re-electing President Obama and the urgency for them to work with him to meet our needs.
Our challenge is coming soon to help the President and our country by electing representatives from: Local city officials, mayors, governors, state senators and state representatives, federal senators and House of Representatives who will help carry out the ‘will’ of the people.
We are tired of career politicians whose interests are not of the people, but of those that can fill their war chests and pockets, or who are acting on their own agendas.
We want and need jobs, better education, health care, and safety. It is up to us to make sure that we put in office in the upcoming 2014 elections those that will work with the president in pushing our agenda forward . . . .
